The island of Aegina is the largest & the most popular island in the Argosaronic Gulf. Due to its proximity to Athens, only 18NM from Alimos/ Kalamaki marina, Aegina attracts many yachtsmen who start or end their sailing boat holidays from Alimos yacht charter base.
The cruise will start at 9:00 a.m. from Alimos/ Kalamaki marina and we will
be heading over to the island of Aegina and cruise around to admire the sea
and the landscape.
Throughout the cruise we will visit Ag. Marina and Klima there you will have
the chance to find remote bays where you can enjoy the sun and the sea away for the crowds.
We cruise along the coast line of Aegina towards the graphic fishing village of
Perdika. There we can enjoy a nice meal in the charming fishing harbour lined by fish taverns.
Perdika affords a good view of Moni islet, where we will escape with our boat and enjoy some privacy with your family or friends.
In Moni Island there are no inhabitants, but only deer, wild goats and peacocks that come close to you and you can feed them if you like. The beaches have deep and clear waters suitable for underwater fishing, swimming and snorkeling.
Moni Island was not our last destination. We still have some time for the biggest settlement on the island that is Aegina Town. It is a colorful town, full of neoclassical buildings painted with bright colors. The whole town is an explosion of colors, accentuated by the colorful pistachio nuts sold everywhere. You can enjoy a nice coffee in one of the traditional coffee shops.
At 17:00 p.m. we are returning back to the Marina of Alimos.
